More options mean healthier outcomes — for men, and for the women they love. Sovereign begins with contraception and reaches toward something larger: intimacy without fear, and a model of medicine built on partnership and plant intelligence rather than extraction alone.

Cultures with generations of ethnomedicine knowledge are disappearing, and much of it stands to be lost within two generations. This work helps fund cultural preservation so that knowledge can be honoured and carried forward — and priced so that premium markets fund access where contraception is needed but unaffordable.

It starts with male contraception. That is the beginning, not the whole.

Justicia gendarussa

A tropical shrub used for generations by the Nimboran people of Indonesian Papua as a natural male contraceptive — documented by Indonesian researchers beginning in the 1980s.

The active compounds interrupt sperm's ability to penetrate the egg, without affecting sperm count, hormones, or libido. The effect is fully reversible. Indonesian university studies documented 99.46% efficacy, with fertility returning after discontinuation. The research reached advanced clinical stages but never crossed into international trials.

Traditional knowledge, held to modern evidence

Sovereign's founder has completed two exploratory proteomics studies analysing seminal-fluid biomarkers across structured dosing protocols.

Study 1 identified two proteins — Pro-cathepsin H (~37,394 Da) and PPP1R7 (~41,564 Da) — present at baseline and absent in the final sample, matching bands reported absent in the Indonesian Phase 2 data. These results are preliminary and require confirmation.

Study 2, a longitudinal design with escalating doses, repeated sampling, and a washout period, is complete; analysis is underway. Detailed methodology and study data available under NDA.

Two markets converging

The global contraceptive market is around $30B and projected to roughly double by the mid-2030s; male methods make up under a tenth of it. The dietary-supplement market (~$210B) is on track to more than double this decade, its botanical segment growing near 9% a year.

A natural male contraceptive sits where those lines cross. Several synthetic candidates are in development, but none come from a natural-products lineage. There is no approved oral male contraceptive anywhere — a first mover in a new category.

Honouring the source

The contraceptive use of this plant originates with the Nimboran people of Indonesian Papua. Sovereign intends to hold worldwide rights in trust, with benefit-sharing built into the company's structure — revenue shared with the originating community, and support for cultural preservation.

The region is under real pressure, with ongoing armed conflict and large-scale displacement. International partnership and visibility can serve as a form of protection as much as respect. Our model is partnership, not extraction.

A phased path to a validated claim

Stage 1 — now through 2026: proteomics validation, HPLC standardisation, lab and industry partnerships, and raising the friends-and-family round.

Stage 2 — 18–36 months: a men's health supplement with compliant structure/function claims — no contraceptive claim on the product, with the research made public. Nimboran fieldwork and partnership development.

Stage 3 — multi-year: clinical trials and regulatory engagement toward a validated contraceptive claim, funded in part by supplement revenue running in parallel.

Long term: phytopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical pathways explored only where ethical production is possible, with global-access pricing throughout.
